A Change of Mind

After getting the feel of blogging and becoming familiar with how Blogger works, I've decided to change the theme of my blog. With this, I am also transferring to a new blog (yey for two blogs! :D).

I'll still be keeping this first blog just in case I decide to revert back to the old theme (and because I'm a very sentimental person).

Anyway, here's the link to the new blog:

I've already put something in it just to let you read something.

Cheers to blogging! :D

Appetizer

After a worthwhile lunch and talk with one of my closest friends,
Julia,

I've decided to put up this blog to document my (often random and seemingly insane) trips with Allen--from foodtrips and adventure trips to the usual roadtrips. I guess it's also high time to explore my creative side, especially that I have the time and chance to do so (I've been bumming since grad, with allowance), and it would be great to get more than enjoyment out of all these fleeting experiences.

It had been almost 3months since I suvived my last official academic requirement. Since then, I have been living like I never planned to. However, this does not include resumes, interviews, and job fairs but
coffee shops,
out-of-town trips
and weekly hang-outs.
Although this might sound wrong, especially that I'm a fresh grad who is normally expected to immediately find a stable corporate job, I am quite comfortable and satisfied with this turn of events. I strongly feel that an 8-5 life doesn't fit me. The mere thought of it honestly makes me sick and dead.

And thus, Allen (who is as bum as I am, though not for the same exact reasons) and I developed an almost daily search for unvisited coffeeshops, curious foodplaces, and un-travelled roads. We would drive over mountains, across cities, and even through the most annoying traffic, and back again, just to get to that cozy little cafe. (We're crazy like that.) Amazingly enough, during our travels, we discover not only taste and highways, but also the realities of life. This, I believe, is what really matters and what most people misses out on.

However, don't get me wrong. We don't intend to spend the rest of our lives just doing this and depending on the support of our parents, we do have career plans. I, for instance, am doing contractual work, which gives me full control of my time, and am looking forward to starting-up my own business. We are just choosing to live our lives in a manner we think right and not just as imposed by society.

And so, this blog will not just be about our travels around Manila or the Philippines, but also our discoveries.
